Premiere in the Capital of Culture Year!

The premiere of the “voestalpine classic” – a continuation of the “voestival” – offered a unique cultural delight as a special contribution from voestalpine to the Capital of Culture Year “Linz09”: one of the most renowned conductors in the world – Franz Welser-Möst, who is also a native of Linz – conducted the best up-and-coming musicians in the world – the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester!
In the Grobblechhalle on the factory premises, 4,000 invited guests – international customers, partners as well as employees – experienced the concert premiere and at the same time the prelude to the European tour of the program – in an impressive setting and presented by Christoph Wagner-Trenkwitz!

An additional highlight: an innovatively choreographed preview film about the voestalpine Stahlwelt – the new visitor and exhibition centre – took the guests on a fascinating journey into the world of steel production and the breathtaking architecture of the building even before its opening.

The VIP reception in the voestalpine Stahlwelt was a logistical challenge in which the Erlebnismarketing team was able to demonstrate its many years of operative know-how.
